Trying to do something interesting with your bedroom you can create the illusion of depth. You can do this simply by painting one bedroom wall dark. For example you can have a creamy colored white bedroom with three walls this light color and the back wall where your headboard on your bed is any lighter chocolate brown color.
Now this already gives you an illusion of depth not mentioning the strong contrast you are going to create with this darker bedroom wall. Furthermore if you decorate this wall with complementary colors such as yellow in either pictures or some kind of artwork hanging on the wall it will immediately bring your back wall to life. Furthermore if you decorate your bedding similarly with yellowish pillow covers on top of a very light that cover again this bed cover could be something in the nature of white or light cream color.

Bedroom decorating idea,

If you’re trying to come up with the color for your bedroom door just head over to the paint store to the paint chip rack and try to pick something out from there. It’s hard to decide on a good color when you’re just looking at a simple little piece of tinted cardboard. It’s always better to take a sample of your favorite color combinations with you to the paint store and have them matched. This is a more accurate way of coming up with a color that you like. Furthermore this object might have a couple of different colors and it that you might want to paint different areas of the room with. You might take your bet cover and a pillow with you to the store to help you choose.

Another bedroom decorating idea
If you are applying patterns to large areas of either walls or bedding covers it looks better with larger patterns that are going to smaller items such as pillows or some kind of window decoration in a smaller pattern or better.

You could also consider a double-sided curtain to occasionally change the looks of the room by switching from one side to the other.

Another bedroom decorating idea is to use an oversized mirror to bounce some light around in your room. This mirror doesn’t have to be hanging on the wall it could literally be propped up against a wall making it more useful and versatile and adds a certain amount of flash to the room.

Decorating the back wall of your bedroom can also be accomplished by selecting a pair of floor to ceiling cabinets that would allow the width of your bed to slide in between them. There’s a couple different choices here, you can paint the back headboard wall the same color as the cabinets to give it the illusion of one huge headboard to your bed. Or another way to do it is paint the wall directly behind the bed the same color as the bed linen and pillows. If you choose the same color on the walls as your cabinets you will give the illusion that the cabinets are a built-in variety.

If you have a bedroom on a smaller scale and you want to create the illusion of a larger bedroom another consideration would be to place things along the walls in a horizontal fashion giving it the illusion of which. That’s the same idea as wearing striped clothing for a fat person. So if you want to make some designs that are horizontal in nature in the room you will give it a wider look.
