If you’re considering on painting or staining offense that is made of wood it might be better to do it soon before your shrubbery and your flowers start growing full steam. Since painting the fence requires close proximity to it, this means that if you have any flowers or shrubbery they will be damaged more easily. But if you’re going to do this before all this stuff starts growing there’s a lot more room for the painter to access fence. Usually if the offense is in bad condition and requires a lot of standing in front of it working on it. The next thing to consider is if you’re going to power washed defense again it’s a lot easier if there’s not a lot of greenery in front of the fence. Also when you spray the fence with high-pressure you’ll get all the flakes that come off the fence all over the garden. So this is another reason to do this work before your greenery starts growing in. One note though it will take longer and it cooler springtime temperatures to dry out quickly it might take a few days of dry weather for the fence to totally dry out.

Metal fences and iron Works ( ornamental iron, decorative railings ) can be scraped and sanded at any time. Humidity is not as large a factor painting metal as wood would be, because the wood retains moisture inside its fibers not allowing the paint to penetrate inside the Wood. But as usual paint should be applied at temperatures at the paint manufacturers recommendations. Because they have done experiments with the paint at different temperatures and they know what the paint will do if it’s applied at too cold temperature. Another thing to consider is if it cools down at night and your paint doesn’t dry on the railing you will have a wet railing to start with the following morning and hope no one touches it.
